The Red Lion Hotel was originally a coaching inn and has been greeting weary travellers and offering a cosy place to stay since 1736. Now a Grade II listed building and they’re right in the middle of the old market town of Fareham.
Accommodation
When you stay at the Red Lion, you can rest your head in a large comfy bed with plump pillows and a fluffy duvet. You’ll have your private en-suite bathroom, tea and coffee-making facilities for that all important brew in the morning, and free Wi-Fi so you can stay connected throughout your stay. You’ll also find a sense of history throughout the hotel with plenty of tasteful touches, including oak beams, flagstone floors, exposed brickwork and period furniture. Settle in and put your feet up with tea and coffee making facilities. Then tuck yourself into the crisp white linen sheets and relax on a luxurious 1200 pocket sprung mattress.
Dining
Just as travellers have been doing for close to 300 years, you can sit down to a glass of real ale and a freshly cooked meal today at the Red Lion Hotel. The charming pub and restaurant offer a great place to relax in a traditional setting, while the bar is well stocked and there’s even a beautiful pub garden outside too. When it comes time to eat, you can tuck into generous portions of classic pub cuisine at great prices, whether you’re after lunch or dinner. And you can enjoy a cooked or continental breakfast each morning too.
