Whitby is one of the most beautiful and fascinating towns of the North Yorkshire Coast, often referred to as the Jurassic coastline. A day out in Whitby, a weekend away or a weeks holiday, whichever you choose there is absolutely something for everyone. A sedate walk along the harbour, and the quaint cobbled streets, or a strenuous hike up the Abbey steps to join the Cleveland National Trail. How about something even more energetic? a full or part day fishing trip, mountain bike trailing, swimming, tennis or golf.
Accommodation
Comfortable twin, double and family rooms are available to book at Duke of York. All rooms are equipped with a flat screen TV, kettle, hairdryer, Nespresso coffee machine, toiletries and of course free WiFi, giving you everything you need from a room for the night - whether you're away for business or leisure.
Pet friendly rooms are available if you wish to bring your furry friends along.
Dining
Why not start your morning right with a delicious and hearty breakfast (served 7.30-10.30am weekdays and 8-10.30am weekends) - Breakfast is available daily, and includes à la carte, Full English/Irish and vegetarian options.
If you're still hungry, you can grab a bite to eat in our pub for lunch or dinner, with a range of good pub food available. Open for Lunch and Dinner the menu features a selection of small plates, sharing platters, pub favourites and afternoon tea.
Please note that they only accept afternoon tea bookings directly with a minimum of 2 days notice.
