Dating from the 15th century, the Castle & Ball Hotel is an authentic addition to a historic market town. On the River Kennet, Marlborough is home to one of the widest high streets in Britain, offering a cast space for regular markets which still occur to this date. Traditional elements of the hotel create a homely atmosphere, with original oak timbers which pre-date the Spanish Armada.
Situated in the North Wessex Downs, the Castle & Ball is surrounded by countryside and stunning natural sites that make for excellent walking and cycling. It’s ideally positioned to explore a range of ancient historical attractions too, including Stonehenge, Avebury henge and Devil’s Den burial chamber.

The Castle & Ball has a lovely beer garden for the summer, and warming open fires in the winter to create the perfect year round venue.
