It stands on the famous Roman road, Watling Street, across from The Bull Hotel, and is the source of the phrase ‘a cock-and-bull story’ thanks to the gossip and tales travellers would tell as they drank in the two inns.
Sitting in the heart of gorgeous Stony Stratford, you can explore the sites of this beautiful town on foot. On the edge of Milton Keynes, you’ll have access to all the city has to offer too, with great shopping, nightlife and attractions like Snozone and Milton Keynes Theatre. In surrounding Buckinghamshire you’ll find Bletchley Park, Gulliver’s Land, National Trust sites at Buckingham Chantry Chapel and Claydon, and so much more.
Accommodation
